TOWIE star, Sam Faiers, backs Get Road REDdy

Sam Faiers

The Only Way Is Essex star, Sam Faiers, is getting behind RED’s latest campaign to raise awareness of better, safer driving.  Speaking about our Get Road REDdy campaign, which highlights the need to ‘road train your brain’ and coincides with the launch of our free e-learning modules, the reality TV personality said:

“I am supporting the Get Road REDdy campaign as it’s giving an important message to young people about what’s involved when it comes to better, safer driving.  Through working with RED I have realised that driving responsibly is not just about how well you handle the car with your hands and feet. It has a lot to do with how the brain is trained and reacts to certain situations that you face when driving.

“The number of road deaths involving young people is a serious issue that needs our attention. It’s great to see a driving school, which is responsible for training so many learner drivers, recognise that there is a need to do something differently. I hope that by raising awareness of this campaign, we can make our roads safer.”

When Sam was just 18, she was involved in a car crash.  In an interview that appeared in yesterday’s New! Magazine, Sam said:

“I was in a crash that made me realise I need to be more careful on the road. I didn’t see a car coming out of my blind spot and it hit me, spinning my car around. Luckily, I wasn’t hurt, but I was really shaken up. Since then I’ve become such a safe driver! Young people are involved in so many accidents, so I want to raise awareness.”

We’re really pleased to be working with Sam to help you all ‘road train your brain’.  If you want to become a better, safer driver then why not check out our e-learning modules here?
