RED support new smoke free car legislation
From today, 1st October 2015, it is illegal to smoke in a car carrying children and young people under the age of 18. The law means that any drivers and passengers who decide to smoke in a vehicle containing children under the age of 18, will face a penalty fine of £50 for their actions.
RED Driving School have teamed up with NHS Smokefree to help raise awareness of the law. We’ve created an infographic to highlight other driving offences that you may not be aware of, according to the Highway Code!

With one less place to smoke, there’s one more reason to quit. Today marks the start of Stoptober, where smokers are encouraged to give up smoking for the month of October. Quitting for a month will make it five times more likely that you will stop for good, so give it a go and sign up here!
