RED’S ROAD BRAIN TRAINER WINS TOP AWARD!

We’re delighted to have won another major road safety award! RED’s Road Brain Trainer scooped the top prize at the FirstCar Young Driver Road Safety Awards 2016 for taking the lead in road safety by using a modern educational approach to help the learning process.

Created in partnership with road safety experts and driver education software specialist, we created RED’s Road Brain Trainer (RRBT) which is provided free of charge on an unconditional basis to all RED learners throughout the UK.

The on-line educative programme supplements practical driving lessons to develop learner driver’s awareness and understanding of road risks to improve the way that RED students are taught.

Learners can use RRBT in their own time and at their own pace. Many of the modules end with a short assessment, allowing you to check your level of understanding of the issues raised within the module.

Dr Lisa Dorn of Cranfield University researched RRBT and found that the pass rate for the driving test over two attempts improves by 14.2% for learners who complete the RRBT online training programme. RED’s own research shows that those using RRBT passed their practical test with fewer attempts: 1.3 average attempts for RRBT users versus 1.52 for non-users, and 70% of users felt that RRBT helped them pass their practical test.

RED CEO Ian McIntosh says, “We’re so proud of our award win – we really believe that RED’s Road Brain Trainer is a fantastic tool in helping learner drivers to pass their test and more importantly, stay safe on the roads after they have passed. The fact that RRBT has been recognised by the FirstCar Young Driver Road Safety Awards helps cement RED’s position as the leading driving school in the UK.”
